Selank

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of the naturally occurring immune peptide tuftsin, developed by the Russian Academy of Sciences. Supplies:

• Selank lyophilized powder vial
• Bacteriostatic water (BAC) for injection
• Insulin syringes (0.5ml or 1ml) with fine needle
• Alcohol prep pads or sterile wipes
• Clean work surface or sterile towel
• Refrigerator for storage (2-8°C)

1. 1Remove Selank vial from refrigeration and allow to reach room temperature for 10-15 minutes to prevent condensation
2. 2Clean vial tops with alcohol wipes using circular motion from center outward, allow to air dry completely
3. 3Calculate appropriate reconstitution volume based on desired concentration using the calculator below
4. 4Draw calculated amount of bacteriostatic water into insulin syringe, remove any air bubbles
5. 5Insert needle into Selank vial at 45-degree angle against the glass wall - do NOT inject directly into powder
6. 6Slowly inject BAC water down the side of the vial to minimize foaming and preserve peptide integrity
7. 7Remove needle and gently swirl vial - NEVER shake vigorously as this can damage the peptide structure
8. 8Allow solution to sit for 1-2 minutes if any cloudiness remains, then swirl gently until completely clear
9. 9Final solution should be clear and colorless - persistent cloudiness indicates peptide degradation
10. 10Label vial with reconstitution date and concentration, store in refrigerator immediately
11. 11Use within 30 days of reconstitution, always inspect for particles before injection
